Single-barrel Shotguns!

Savage

Here's a picture of my old Savage 220, just the receiver - case colors still bright. It's a nice gun. I take it out for Trap every now and then - a little light for that but shoots where it's pointed. It goes out for grouse a bit each year - rarely get a second shot at those little rockets.

My first firearm was a H&R single shot 12 gauge. My dad gave it to me before I left home for Kansas City. I'm back in my hometown now. I have plenty more shotguns, rifles, and pistols to go with that first one, but I wouldn't trade that old H&R for all the gold in California!

I started out with a Ithaca 66 lever action 20 gauge. Its modified choke was sort of open and I could hit great with it.

I inherited Grandad's ancient Iver Johnson in 16 gauge. This old featherweight shotgun is over 100 years old and still shoots straight. Love it!

Stevens 12 gauge for $75.00 about 20+ years ago. Sometimes it extracts the shells and sometimes it ejects the shells. :) The trigger guard is broken so I taped it back on and it works fine. Have taken more squirrels and rabbits with it than anything else I own.

I still have mine

My first gun was a Winchester model 37 20 guage youth given to me by my father. One of my current favorites is my H&R Ultra Slugger in 20 guage. That is a slug throwing machine.

bill and sb1 shotgun.jpgfirst shotgun i hunted with was an Ithaca 66 Super Single,30" barrel full choke. never shot any animals with it. its still around, sitting in dads cabinet. i bought a NEF SB1 with a 28" barrel mod choke. shot 3 shells through it so far. no time to check the shot spread so far.

H&R TDC

I just bought my first H&R, a topper deluxe classic and last weekend I took it out on a chukar hunt. I would like to clean my gun and grease the hinge pin b but for the life of me I can't get the forearm piece off. I took the screw out and pulled with all my might but the forearm won't budge. I don't want to damage the wood so does anyone have any tricks to remove the forearm?

Single barrel shotgun

I have a pretty nice model 37A Winchester 12 ga,,,,,3"

It was my father's and it's about the only thing of his I took home after he died. I doubt if I will ever sell it. Will probably leave it to my son, even though he doesn't hunt or even fire guns that i know of.

Isn't worth much money anyway, but it is priceless to me.
