Silver bullet - fact or fiction?

MrAcheson ,
thanks. I had tried to google but was using the wrong key words I guess. Looks interesting but with serious size limitations since they are putting the mold in there too. Plenty big enough for werewolf bullets though. :D

OK, this looks like a really old thread, but I just ran into it and a couple of folks mentioned an article about a cross-shaped anti-vampire gun that fires a silver ball. I actually have that article ...

It is titled "Vampire-Killing Kit" and it was written by Phil Spangenberger. It ran in the October 1989 issue of Guns & Ammo. It does not appear that Phil actually tested the firearm.

Why not cast a silver bead to fit inside a lead hollowpoint, like the Pow'R'Ball or Glasers?...

Decapitation works on the undead, too. So I'm thinking that if you shot them in the head w/ a 12ga. enough times....

Personally, I've never had a werewolf that I've shot get up & run away. :D

With Halloween fast approaching i'm looking for a good all around load. You know something that would work on witches, werewolves, vampires, zombies or any other wierd creatures out there. I have to be able to protect the grandaughters and the dog.

Any suggestions?

I've seen an FMJ with a solid steel bullet that looked chrome silver when you pulled it out of the tree, but nothing silver.

Simple my friend. Get yourself a nice SxS shotgun with dual triggers. One side = a shell loaded with various odds and ends made of silver, the other side = a sharpened wooden dowel say about 4-6" long fit to the bore loaded into the top of a shotshell (I think your best off without a choke for that one).

I've actually have had silver bullets made, which I then loaded in a nickle case over 11grs. of Bluedot primed with a federal magnum primer. The man that made the bullets for me measured them for size with a caliper and weighed them as well. There are 147gr bullets. Solid, pure, and shiny silver. I gave him silver bullion to work with which he cast then slowly shaped with a dremel and by hand measuring all the time. Came out beautiful. I have six of them in .357 mag.

I agree.

Mrs. Beckinsale also looked very attractive in "Van Helsing". Something about a beautiful woman with monsters and guns..... :D
As far as shrinkage from cooling, wouldn't a semi-jacket be able to tak care of that? Or just a Silver jacket over a lead bullet? Personally if it ever comes down to it, I'm just gonna use a big silver sword. No reloading!

Id just like to second Rob's statement that Kate Beckinsale looks great in tight leather britches.

And even better OUT of them..... :D

What about the expanding properties of a silver bullet? Methinks you would have many through and throughs, unless you did a HP..... :p
