Sig P365: Glock 43 Killer?

I'd definitely rent one. I've shot enough of these little ones to know I better do that before even considering a purchase. PPS M2 is still the only one in the category I felt was worth buying.

G26 is NOT the same size as G43 - in the critical width dimension and trigger reach.
I have a couple of 42's, and they convinced me not to bother with the 43's. I really dont bother with the 42's either, mostly range toys. Size difference is minimal, and the 26 offers more.

My 26's are carried in the same spot as I would have carried the 42's, and with my Smart Carry, it rides in the very same holster the 42 uses.

Seriously? “BRING MORE. EVERYDAY.”? Come on, you think a company like SIG would employ a marketer who took a basic English class in high school and knows the difference between the adjective “everyday” (meaning “commonplace” or “normal”) and the two-word phrase “every day” (interchangeable with “each day”).

Graphic from a SIG comparison thread

Have to say - I was really looking at the SIG P938 or Kimber Micro 9
Willing to wait now and see how this feels/shoots.

According to that pic above the sig looks to be as long as a 19 in the grip. That’s the dimension in a carry pistol incare about.

Also, from the pics I saw earlier this thing looks hideous but that’s an individual thing.

And glock 43 killer? The 26 ( I know... I know), shield, and pps have done that already and the sig hasn’t even been released yet.

I feel like the measurements on the SIG site are off somewhat. Same height and width of the G43 yet holds +4 rds with the smallest mag? How? It's not like a G43 mag wastes space. I wonder if they're measuring the height of the P365 without the magazine inserted or the G43 with the pinky extension. The above graphic even seems to indicate there should be a difference.

I agree with Slim Jim, the Walther PPS M2 is still one of the best. Slightly heavier, but stone cold reliable with any ammo I run through it and it has an excellent track record.
I had G42, but sold it. My Kimber Micro 9 fills he same role with a better caliber.
IMHO, the PPS M2 is close to perfect except for the weight, it a few once’s heavier than a G43. My Micro 9 is smaller, lighter and fits into a Remora holster and is easier to carry. To me, the Walther is more of a holster pistol.

I think that graphic shows the Sig with an extended baseplate. It comes with a flush-fitting and an extended magazine... like the Glock 43.

I wonder if the trigger is drop-safe. But it probably feels better than that on a Glock... not that one would notice under stress.

The graphic does, but we don't know what configuration it was in when SIG made those measurements on their website. You could extrapolate from known measurements on the other pistols. To me the difference looks like more than .05" that I've seen mentioned on the Sig forum.

But it probably feels better than that on a Glock...

Lol, give it a bit and you'll be able to tell in person. It's not like the market is that short on very small carry pistols currently. I guess I don't get all the excitement.

I'm cursed with Mom's side of the family's arthritis full blown in all toe joints, upper knee(s) socket and starting in the hips and spinal socket - some days I have a hard time keeping a 14 oz J-Frame with me, some days I can carry a P220 with little concern -

When ANY company comes out with a sub/Compact pistol I am always interested - Moving from 30 oz of the P220 to a XDs at 27 helped, and I was looking in to either the P938 @ 16 oz or a Kahr CM9 @ 14 oz

But dropping to 17 for 11 rounds may be the ticket - for me at least - it will be interesting to see more hands on reviews in the coming months.

More capacity, better (presumably) trigger, same size; what's not to like? Comes with night sights, as well, standard.

Idk that it is. It looks like a USP universal rail but when you go to the product page and click on Specs under Accessory Rail it lists "N/A".
