Sig P320 great Service

You may be a happy camper but it is all kinds of screwed up that what is essentially the same pistol has been sitting there for two weeks longer.

My P320 arrived yesterday. Total time was 21 days so not everyone is getting their pistol back in a week. Sig could not answer why mine took 20 gays and others are taking 5. I believe as didnthe repni was talking to that it maybe caliber related.

Trigger feels great when I dry fire it. The double click is gone. Trigger is OK. It is thin and has sort of slick finish. I wish it was serrated. The trigger definitely has less mass.

On the slide when you turn it over you can see where they milled the slide for the disconnector. They did not refinish that area. This will be a good tell in the future if you are looking at a used P320. Look for that cut and the new slimmer trigger and you will know it has been upgraded.

The new guns that Sig is shipping will have that area finished. I did not get a chance to shoot it yet due to the weather.

I don't know if this matters at all
But
I noticed on You Tube and in here the fast 5 to 7 day turnarounds was P320 RX Romeo pistols, no difference Compact or Full.
Also the 40's such as "Super Blackhawk's" 40

Then the regular 9mm's

and the longest is the 45's. as in WVsig's 21 day turnaround.

Also the 45's have the most milling performed on the slides.
Put a 9mm slide next to a 45 and you can notice the differences.

At least that's what I'm seeing if you read the posts.

May mean nothing...

From the beginning it was presented to us all as a 4 to 6 week turnaround which is 28 to 42 days.
They have been doing it between 5 to 21 days.

Right and I would be fine with the turn time if they could explain the turn time discrepancy. They at this point must see a trend. They must know that some are being turned faster than others. They would help themselves in the realm of public opinion if they could explain it.

Would someone please tell us what did Sig do to the P320 updating to fix the "possibly go off if drop at a certain angle". Seem to me like they have to do some machining to your gun to reduce the weight on some parts ? but not replacing the parts?
Thanks and regards

Here is a video which explains exactly what they are doing.

I still have not received the shipping label for either of my P320's.
I did get an email today saying that the process was underway.

Hi Spawndn72
That's really strange,
I never heard from Sig Sauer except for a email telling me my P320 had return shipped to me.
I only knew that it had arrived at Sig Sauer via my tracking #

So, it's November 14th / 5 days since your last post...What's the status?

So, no modification to the grip module itself, right? Just the serialized part and the slide?

That's Correct.
Also different milling on the slide for the 45 than with the 9mm thus the 45's are taking longer in the upgrade process.

They turned my forties around in a hot hurry! Very nice. And the triggers feel just as good, if not better than before. Nice guns!

My nines are taking quite a bit longer; which is fine - .40S&W is my preferred defense caliber. Whenever the nines get back to me will be fine. I don't miss them.

I know; my nines are under-appreciated and under-utilized. But that's ok. I still like having them around. ;-)
