Sig P229 or P229 DAK

P2000 or P2000SK

I prefer the LEM system of HK over the DAK system, to me the advantage is the same pull every pull, and it has a shorter reset without raising the effort of the pull. Pull is also lighter in V1 version. LEM system can be had in many models, my favorite is the SK but that is just my opinion for what its worth. Have a good day.

I've carried a P229 DAK SAS custom shop piece in SIG 357 for almost ten years now ... and love it.

It's all about practice. I've probably put 3k or 4k rounds though it and feel like it is just now getting good and broken-in.

I know I am bumping an old thread here - but it is worth doing.

I just bought my second exact same model, it's a twin to my original, for $500 bucks and it included four mags.

Seems there are more and more of these used, hardly used but used, starting to enter the pre-owned market and they are worth keeping an eye out for IMHO.

A good review of the Cadillac of carry pieces: https://www.usconcealedcarry.com/sig-sauer-p229-sas-gen-2-the-cadillac-of-carry-guns/

With that said, I'm 6-3 250 and well into my 50s so I am somewhat set in my ways. The pistol is not too big for me. The main purpose of the bump was to say, they are starting to show up more and more ... I see more and more used ones for sale. They are worth looking for - and a lot of times there will be spare barrels for the 40 or SIG 357, plus spare magazines, decent holsters that are already broke-in, etc.
