sig p229 extreme????

It's "compact" compared to its parent the 226, I don't understand why all manufacturers do that except for the marketing standpoint, which works evidently, all it does is confuse people as the size of a compact lc9 is nowhere near the size of a "compact" g19, g23, p229, etc.
however I don't forsee a standardized pistol size anytime in my life.

Afone1, yes indeed, I tare it down to bare Fram and slide when I disassemble and clean. Standard operating procedure For me. I am using the "hard" CCI 500 primers as well though, just got some winchester spp in my hands to try.

I just bought a SD9VE. I put 200 rounds through it yesterday. No problems. I really like it. I don't know why people complain about the trigger. it's a self defense gun. I like it just the way it is.

Well done, you got a great deal! When you get it put 200rds through it for any possible issues, but it sounds like 2 rocks in your pocket would be better than what you have now(no wife joke). I cannot iterate or reiterate enough that a faulty firearm is not a firearm at all. The same is true for any piece of equipment. Being pedantic about such things is being non suicidal

Well I'll have 200 through it in the first range trip :) much more to follow.

Afone1, the only thing I did to my sigma was removed the pigtail spring and polished all the contact points for the firing control, smoothed up the trigger pull and got all the grit out of it, might have lightened it a pound or two. I hear of people saying the put a Bic lighter spring in the sear assembly

Excellent deal. If I didn't already have a P229, I'd be taking a long, hard look at that.

The slimmer the grips on the P229, the better, in my mind. The E2 grips on a standard P229 are excellent.

You'll love the thing. If it doesn't have an SRT, get one and install it. Then, shoot the bejesus out of it to smooth everything out.

The extremes come with the SRT, G10 grips, front cocking serations( which I doubt I'll use????) And the night sights. so basically everything I thought I would end up doing to a standard sig, but 100 bucks cheaper than a stock sig :D:D
