Sig 225 or 239

You 225 guys were right. I found a new-in-the-blue-box P225, and bought it (no 220ST to be found). Because of a case of tendonitis in the wrist, I was only able to put 50 rounds through it, but it was a sweet 50. I bought my first SIG 8 years ago, and can't believe I waited this long to get a 225. It's already one of my favorites, and I'm going to treat it to a set of night sights and a custom finish. Your recommendations really did make a diffference.

I have a SIG P-239 .40S&W

Gun-Test Mag. reviewed the Sig P239 in three different articles (.9mm, .357Sig, .40S&W )and not only gave them a best buy but also gave them their highest accolade!
I don't always agree with Gun-Test Mag, but this time I have to totaly agree, it is one of the best guns that I have ever owned! ;)

Pilate,
This will sound simplistic, but I think it'll work. You like your 239 except for your tendency to hit the slide release. But what if you could place a little reminder on the release that you could feel before you accidentally engaged it? A piece of scotch tape or something on the release and extending a bit beyond it might just do the trick. Then after several hundred rounds your hand would be re-trained.

The P225 is my favorite SIG, fits my hand like no other pistol, and I can hit stuff with it better than with most other handguns. It's pretty much the ideal frame size for the 9mm round.

I have had 2 Sig 225s and love them. I have fired a few 239s and I don't like them near as well as the 225. My 15+ year old 225 just felt so much smoother than my buddies brand new 239; plus, I may be crazy but I thought the 239 had more recoil. Both myself and my buddy (who had never fired my 225) were much more accurate with my 225. Just my opinion though. :D
