BTW, I have heard the term Shrub applied to other people with the last name Bus(c)h. Usually a little brother or son.

My opinion - all members of the Democrats and Republicans should not be allowed to vote in the next election. :D

I can't see where either party is doing us any good. I'd rather have the rational independents in the middle of the country rescue us from the Nuts of the Left and the Right.

In fact we should raise the lost continents of Mu and Atlantis and ship all party members to one or the other. One can be called JesusLand and the other MarxLand.

In JesusLand there will be no sex but no taxes and in MarxLand there will be no private property but free health care.

I just remember party hacks defending Clinton and now party hacks defending Bush over Miers- who needs either party.
 
The only trouble with the "rational independents in the middle of the country" is the majority of them are in the middle (in my opinion) not because they are wiser or more intelligent but because they care so little for the political process that they choose to devote their energies to more important things, like soap operas and game shows. Who was it who said something like " those who pay no attention to politics are destined to be ruled by those who do."? I hope anyone without an opinion in the areas of disagreement between the Left and Right continues to watch his Seinfield re-runs.

Hey man! been voting for about 50 years, voted democrate, republican and independent in the past (anyone who has no more independence than to vote a straight party ticket should not be allowed to vote), served my country in the military(6yrs) ant planning on going no place anytime soon. I'll give up my seat to those gwb croonies who are tumbling out of the white house like leaves from the trees, and their "regardless" supporters.
