Should non-citizens have equal access to firearms?

I started thinking that maybe they should be a citizen first and foremost. But you know our amendments are something that make this country special. And the people that come here are special. What happened at VT is isolated. And we should not allow base our opinions on emotional thought hence become a liberal. Rather on the rational thought of this was a isolated case. When this starts forming a trend we can worry about it then. Sad what happened most definitely but don't let emotional thought interfer with your rational thought. to answer the question so long as they are within the bounds and criteria of the law most definitely YES.

Ok . I understand that there may come a time when anybody foreigner or citizen may have to defend themselves. But with all the crap going on in the world I generally distrust foreigners. Especially those who come hear and want to buy a gun.I'm not saying that all foreigners are bad people. Until this terrorist BS stops (if ever) I just think that we should be careful of who it is that have access to firearms. This should be reserved for United States citizens only. If someone is willing to take the time to become a U.S. Citizen then I would say most times he or she has good intentions. Where do you draw the line ? For me the line is clear.

REDRICK I completely agree with you but you must clear you mind and thoughts think rationally I of all people know about crap flying around the world as a matter of fact I will find out Monday if I am going to the sand box. A place where clear thought is needed.

Guess you have never seen the hassles and paperwork involved in getting a green card.

Point is as long as the gov't is doing its job, a green card holder is clean of past and present criminality.

So if someone buys a gun from a person privately and has a green card, at least we have a soupcon of knowledge that that person is "clean", vis a vis a US citizen who doenst have to undergo background checks merely to walk around legally in this country

JMO, but everyone in the world, no matter where they live, legal or otherwise, they should be allowed to own anything they want to.
Have someone telling other people what is best for them has to stop and should have never been allowed to get started.
When Earp or who ever started the first law that guns could not be carried in town, or Indians and mexicans couldn'r have a gun, they should have strung him up.

--I think in most cases, any legal visitor can buy or use guns in our country. A background check should be done as with anyone else.
--A terrorist on vacation probably wouldn't go to a dealer to buy a gun. But those good folks wanting to shoot, hunt, or own a gun shouldn't have much problems.
