Should I sell two guns to finance an HKP7 ?

Heck no. What if for some reason the P7 is a lemon. In these times get rid of two guns that work for one that may not? Indeed not!

Look, $1,000.00 is not that much money. Focus on your job and not guns and that $1,000.00 will make itself for you.

I speak not from perfection but experience.

I purchased my first P7 two months ago. It was a refurbished M8 ($699). It looks new, with a major blemish..the grind. I have since sold my Sig Pro (.40), Glock 33 (.357 Sig) and have my Kahr K9 up for sale. All perfectly good guns, but the M8 has a better trigger than the Sig and Kahr. I wasn't able to accurately shoot the 33 in rapid fire.

I have just purchased a P7M10 and P7M13 and may purchase a second 13 for the safe. The 10 & 13 fit my hand better than the M8.

I live in California and will not be able to buy the P7M13 once 2001 rolls around. H&K is going to have the M8's for sale in California after January 1st.

These are the most accurate and reliable handguns that I have encountered. I can only speak for the M8, but expect the 10 & 13 to follow in kind.

It may seem excessive to purchase all of these models, but after shooting the M8, I decided to sell the above and put my Glock 21 in the safe. I wanted more than one house gun, but I figured that the manual of arms for the M8 was sufficiently add odds with the Glock that I had better settle on the P7 series.

The P7 is a fine series. The M8 is accurate, reliable, thin, dirty, hot after 50 round rapid fire ( who cares? ). It is easy to shoot and easy to clean. IMHO :)

Hey BB, why don't you tell me how you really feel ? :D

Alright alright, here's the deal, like I said earlier, I want to limit my gun collection to no more than three items. I understand all the arguments for, "having as many as you can these days" ect,. I feel my needs are met with 3 firearms and thats that, period. I bought the 686 used, and while it is a fine gun, I would prefer a new 686+ version, or a performance center. But thats besides the point, I bought that gun to learn and practice on, it has served it's purpose, and would probably be better off in the hands of a newbie who would appreciate it more than me. The CZ is a GREAT gun, unfortunately it is the basic, military version, and if kept, would need a serious overhaul (mucho $$$). I would rather pass it along to a friend who just turned 21, doesn't have much cash, would baby the CZ and would let me shoot it whenever I want. I already have a fullsize house gun, my 1911, and I prefer it to the CZ.

Well, so far the replies about the HK appear to be mixed. Hopefully some time this week I'll get a chance to go to the range and try one out. I think the local shop sells refurbs for somewhere between $600-$700. I'll try to stop by tommorow and find out.

A search, using P7 as the topic found about 200 more. Those should give you a better idea of the P7.
