Should I Buy It

Got a chance to buy a Pietta "Shooters Model". Remington. This is the one
with gain twist rifiling and is hand fitted and tuned. Don't know what I will
do with it, but like they say you can't have too many guns.

You need another gun like you need another hole in the bullseye... ;)

BTW, I want it !!!!!!!!!! Get it. I'll trade you my banjo for it.

I've owned two of the Pietta "Shooters" revolvers over the years. First one was made in the 1980s and was an absolute tack driver with .457 round balls. Then I sold it, and later wished I hadn't so I bought another one made around 2004 when Cabela's had them on a closeout sale and discovered that this one while quite accurate, would, I think, do better if I could get my hands on .460 cast balls as the cylinder chambers seem to be a tiny bit larger than on the older version. I know you can buy molds but I'm not a caster.

Mine also has the Remington barrel address:

You're actually asking us if you should buy a gun?
Like you're going to be surprised by the answer?
Ok, I'll surprise you:
No, don't you dare buy another gun!
Ok, now the real answer:
Buy it.
Buy two, one for you and one for me.
Feel better, now?

The banjo is a Recording King RK-35. If I buy the revolver tomorrow Sunday
and I decide to sell it, I probably would ask 500. I seen one on Gunbroker
go for 600 about a month ago.

Banjo isn't going anywhere. I play at a couple of places in town several times
a month. I took it up about a year ago. My first CD is out called Bringing Home
The Bacon. Keeps my hands busy

I tried to find your recording of "Bringing Home the Bacon", on youtube, but no dice.
Some dude with a guitar by the name of Kevin kept popping up.

I've been though Dixie Gun Works two times while they were open
to the public, the museum was real neat. I at times had (asked) my
mother-in-law to stop in and grab this or that for me since she worked
at Walmart next to Dixie and of coarse...being her favorite son-in-law,
she would and send it to me. She's a good ole gal.

Oh yeah, buy the Remington 1858, even if you don't shoot it...it's pretty.
I really enjoy both of mine. But check several prices, they range from
$200.00 to $900:eek: as you can see from the above.

"...you can't have too many guns..." It's the guy with the most toys when he dies wins. Doesn't matter what or if you do anything with 'em. "I want one." is a reason.

You already know you want it so go for it! The way you shoot, you'll run it through its paces and get more mileage out of it and show just what it can do than probably many of us could only dream of! Plus . . it's a nicking looking one! :)

As far as that banjo playing goes . . . you're missing the most important thing . . . a good fiddle! I just happen to have one . . . and play it. Nothing sweeter than the sound of a banjo and fiddle together . . . BP and the old time instruments just seem to go hand in hand! :)
