Should a Guy Own Both 223 and 243?

All of the rifles should be kept. If you consider only what you really need, then 90% or the calibers out there should be done away with since they are redundant and unnecessary. But we don't buy various guns because we NEED them, but because as firearms enthusiasts we are passionate about our sport. I'm sure most of us have many more firearms than we NEED. I have 3 auto pistols, 5 shotguns, and 5 centerfile rifles, and I cannot hunt deer with rifles in this part of the state! This is not about what we NEED, but about expressing a passion for our sport, and the more we have, the better.

All 3 calibers are fine and versitile. Unless you really hate one of the rifles because of fit, or accuracy, etc., keep all 3 and enjoy them. And don't worry, the 223 will be around for a long, long time.

Look, figure it this way and forget the questions why, what for and etc. There is a reason that it has been said that you can't have too many .22 LR guns.

The .22 LR is the cheapest rimfire cartridge.

The.223 is the cheapest centerfire cartridge.

Enuff said!
