Jim, a little dab will do ya…. and, with less hair, a smaller dab
Yep, I still have some Brylcreem. But, it's in the black tube. As I recall the tube was red and white in the 1950s and 60s. As far as using it as a gun lube, I'd be cautious -- Brylcreem is a water based emulsion.
( I haven't really seen any Brylcreem in at least 50 yrs ...) .... as I recall, it used to dry like "shellac" ... but then I didn't know to look for a black container either ...or oil in a Hoppes bottle ...( I'm getting old ) ...
a quick story...( sort of about oil)..
My normal "hair stylist" was gone on vacation last week ...and the "new girl" ...was trying to put conditioner, some gel, some spray ...and everything else she had on my hair .....and I had to explain, just cut it, towel it dry, and brush it out and I'm good to go ....( no foo foo stuff please ) ...
now if I'd thought to bring along some Hoppes --- maybe I would have told her to put some of that on .../ If Hoppes solvent is good / how bad can Hoppes Oil be ??
