Youbetcha, changing the stock can have a significant effect on muzzle rise. The reason ARs have straight stocks and high sights is to reduce the eccentricity between the line of the bore and the center of the reaction. The laws of physics say, reduce the eccentricity and you reduce the muzzle rise.
