I have one... it's about 30 years old. No, I've never shot it. The sun shades are about as brittle as a cracker, and I have to tape them up when I use them.
It is sensitive to muzzle blast and angled sun... I just tape a piece of paper on the 'sunny' side of the chrono and that fixes that.
