shallow primer pockets with new Nosler brass

Fritz34, forgive, I said I understand. I also understand the part about paying for the head stamp, I have 280 Remington cases, when comparing head stamps choosing 40 cases over 200 cases for the same money was and is an easy decision. I also understand accuracy is more than spending a lot of money for cases.

I hope you get your money back.

3 in 30 have been no good

So far that is 10%.

I had to beat one out of the shell holder to remove it

I am thankful you were not hurt, always think of safety, ware glasses, gloves and anything else you can find when beating on primers. I will assume you were priming on a press. I am the fan of case prep, with once fired cases a primer should fit the primer pocket, do I feel lucky?

AND THEN:

Should I let Nosler know?

If I was Nosler and found you did not call us first I would ignore you. You are not entitled to complain to the world first then get your money back, it is an either or thing. You used up all your free ones.

Nosler was the first ones I notified, and sent them examples, now they are ignoring me. I do work in the hunting industry and will spread the word if they don't make this right.

I have handloaded for over 25 years. I have been using Nosler brass for my 280 Rem for quite awhile and told my dad how nice they were. Well after a lot of convincing him to try it, he bought two boxes for $56 a box instead of the Remington brass he normally buys for $25 a box

I could say forget the shallow primer pockets, I could suggest you explain to them they let you down, you could explain to them how disappointed you are with the cases because someone purchased them based on your experience with the brand.

I do not know how insulated Nosler is from the manufacturing process.

You would think they would be a little more appreciative that I brought this to there attention, and would try to address the problem. I had to litteraly beat a case out of the shell holder, luckily it did not detonate, or they would be talking to my lawyer and be faceing a law suit right now. The next guy may not be so lucky. It has been brought to there attention so if it does happen they are aware of the problem and would be negligent and be held liable for any injuries sustained from there negligence.

The brass is actually my dads brass, he has handloaded for over 45 years, I have handloaded for over 25 years.

An old reloader, builder, shooter, concealed to carry licensed collector and I got together, seems he needed help with something that was not gun reloated. I fixed it. The average age of the two of us was/is 82. If I am going to finish what I started to finish I must get bush.

Fritz34,

I had to literally beat a case out of the shell holder,

Fritz, please tell me you did not beat the case out of the shell holder with a live primer in the case.

Fritz34,

-CENSORED--CENSORED--CENSORED- are you talking about????

Nosler doesn't even make the brass. Pretty sure, though I should check before I say it, that Federal makes it for them to the more severe specs that Nosler wants.

Fritz34,

not related to reloading. Seems he did not care what the cost was, he did not want to be cheated. What does he do? He calls me. He went to an auto dealer, they informed him the cost was $800.00 for a part and they did not guarantee that would fix the problem, worst, they did not know what the problem was meaning he should expect to pay $1,600.00+. I went to talk to them and, as expected that did not go well.

He informed me he would donate the P/U to a school and then purchase a new one before he allowed the dealer to treat him like that.

I fixed it.

Cost? Parts, $175.00. Then there was the introduction to numerical control CNC machines. The manufactures were to demonstrate the machines for the first time in the area. My friend attended the show and demonstration. It did not go well, the demonstrators and or the machines failed, for most that would be funny or disappointing. My friend with a friend volunteered to step up and check to see if everything was plugged in:). First question: What do you want this machine to do? Does it go up and down, side to side and front to back and will the cutter tilt?

Up to that point the audience had been very entertained, one of my friends was wearing bib coveralls, the other has a very Texas way of talking. They glanced through the instructions, one of them read the instructions, the other made the adjustments. And then asked "How many of these parts do you want made?".

not related to reloading.

I am surrounded by a few very talented individuals. Our world does not rotate around reloading. Reloading is something we all have in common.
