Seriously: Is there anyone who actually carries the S&W 500 4 inch for CCW?

I carry the 12 inch S&W .500 as a BUG in an ankle holster.

My primary is a pair of shoulder mounted .40 mm Bofors cannon. Not sure it's entirely legal, and both weapons definitly print, but so far no LEO has come close enough to confront me about them. :D

Could you imagine pulling out that in a building or another situation inside out comes .500 people would be like wtf is that  then BOOOOMMMMM  every one runs out with bleeding ears

Its a nice revolver none the less

Heck, if I had the money to be able to shoot .500 S&W regulary, I'd probably buy one and carry it in a shoulder rig just to annoy all those people who are going to come out of the woodwork and say how using .500 S&W for self defense is reckless and irresponsable.

geez I though that 454 casull would be to much..

whatever rocks your boat. in one of these threads here is a guy who knows of a guy who ccws a 50 caliber DE. what would jesus carry?

The 4" S&W 500 is the perfect pocket pistol. Powerful, petite, pritty, purposeful, and easily concealed in the pocket.

Wow SGHOTH, that .500 is nearly invisible. No way I would have seen the gun if you hadn't pointed it out. :D

1: Have a gun.
2: Bring ENOUGH gun.

Q: Why should you carry a 500 S&W magnum for personal protection?
A: Because they don't make a 600 S&W magnum.

:D

I can't really see the point of carrying a .500mag. There will definately be a pass through with little to no expansion so wouldn't carrying a 9mm that expanded to lets say .55 be just as good terminally, better recoil wise, and less likely to get you landed in jail for using such a "distructive device" as liberals would call it. I just think there are better choices

SGHOTH -- i've looked at your picture several times, and I have to say your are printing a little bit with the cylinder on that .500.

Of course, most people wouldn't really know what to look for, and so only a sharp eyed gun guru/expert like myself would be able to pick it out.

Nice job of concealment, other than that.

Thanks

One nice thing about the 500 is it makes my stomach look smaller.

Maby I will try one with the BFR 45-70. ;)

Looks to me like you still have enough room in that pocket for a couple of speedloaders (when they become available). Did I mention that I too prefer the crossdraw position? Is that small disc to the left, a tension adjustment?

ROFLMAO!! :D :D

I saw a guy carrying the full size .500 S&W the other day - he was pulling it behind him in a Radio Flyer!

Does HKS make speedloaders for the .500 S&W yet??

Don't know about carry but have always wondered if someone was ever shot with one.Have to say would make a mess  :barf:
