They're all cowards and afraid to enforce the laws we already have. Why do we need more laws that won't be enforced? OMG we have 12 million illegal aliens what to do... here's a hint deport them and stop doing business with Mexico. I wrote all of my representatives about this issue yesterday. Like someone say in an earlier post, Americans are no long represented by the politicians we elect. What a message we must be sending to the one following the rules waiting to come to America, how screwed up that is.

They are not cowards, at least not for supporting this bill. To ascribe this to cowardice would imply they believe amnesty is wrong but act contrary to that belief out of fear. Fear of what, us? Fear of their corporate underwriters?

They want amnesty. They believe in amnesty. It's where their own political and economic interests lay. Hell, they won't be around to pay the piper, or to put down the inevitable violence and unrest this surrender will foment down the road. And consider the best case scenario. The Senate does nothing, which leaves us where, exactly? With 20 million illegals already here, and thousands more pouring over the borders every day. Certainly no one expects them to actually address the issues of border security?

So, whether it's the Senate deep fat fryer, or the status quo saute pan, we're cooked either way.

Write, fax, call all you want. I will, because there may be enough Americans remaining in the Senate who will try to stop this amnesty.

But I am not at all optimistic.
 
Mr. James I'm talking about the fact they are not enforcing laws on the books right now. The fear of what the possible out come would be dealing with 12+ million illegal aliens in the country... I'm not referring to support for the S.1438.

Simple. They either obey the law and come quietly, or if they get violent, the tactical ninja police get a justified party day to play with their toys. Rule of law must be laid down.

In cities like LA, well, if La Raza decided to cause riots, the Korean shopkeepers probably still have the SKSs they used back in the riots decades ago, or have upgraded since then. Mess with a man who built their business from nothing through sheer backbreaking work like a lot of the Koreans did, there will be trouble. I've a feeling any MS-13 punks that tried to use chaos to hit said stores would learn what well-aimed fire from rooftops is like.
 
I have a feeling that in the end the armed American will restore this crooked house back into ballance and leave a road of dead bastards in his wake.

Only the traitors leave the door open for raiders. We the people have been betrayed. Vote every one of those crooks out now. I will not tolerate this mess. We need a class action lawsuit made up of millions of people against these govt criminals. I just went a laid off my entire crew. I notice as the building industry is taking a dive, they all sit around the local corner store playing lotto. They have worn out their welcome. I was invited to a Mexican restaurant last night and declined. I'm not doing any more business for them or with them.
Just because an illegitimate govt says it is OK does not mean it is.

The MAIN task of the Federal Gov't is to maintain a Military and our borders.................Recent batch in congress seems bent to do just the opposite.

Yes it ain't pretty..but the bill has passed yet either. I'm not a big fan of Shawn Hannity but he did grill Edward Kennedy and George Vounivich so bad that they got bent out of shape to the max...lol. When they were given some questions they couldn't answer. From their attitudes I'm going to guess the cat isn't in the bag yet. ;). So it appears that even though it appears ill our republic isn't at death's door yet.

Even if it does pass in the Senate its going to be a slobberknocker of a battle in the house.

When over 80% of the populace is saying not only no, but F-ING NO!!!!...and Congress is still grinning and saying "Americans want this.", there's a problem.

And here is were the problem lies and most American's are so upset. Our elected representatives are not serving the wishes of their constituents. The immigration bill is just the tip of the iceberg, we need less government in our lives and enforcement of existing laws.

The bottom line for me on the immigration bill is this:

Don't ask me to consider any immigration bill, good or bad, before you give me border security. Border security is not a bargaining chip.....period!
 
O ye of little faith...it crashes and burns. So that means that the American people still have a voice in this.
 
Looks like all those calls and letters had an effect. According to posting on the Drudge Report it's toast. :D:D :D

I imagine the Senators that hooked their chariots to this legislative trash can will now start honing there fairness doctrine swords to a very fine edge.
