Seller's remorse

Yeah, I still think about that 625 I sold. A friend of mine bought it and he graciously lets me shoot it from time to time.

HEY, I LIKE TO TYPE IN ALL CAPS TOO! :D

Just kidding :D

I almost sold my first shotgun that I got when I was 10 to help pay an entry fee for a paintball tournament. Glad I didn't.

I think we all have done this at one time or another, sold or traded and latter regretted.Been there done that.:(

Does a Colt Pony in excellent shape only 1 year ago count. Sold it to finance what turn out to be a pos Kahr PM9. What a idiot I am!

Yep. S&W 27 5" and 8 3/8"; S&W 57 6" and 8 3/8"; Belgian Browning Hi-Power; Sauer 7mm Wby LH; Colt Python 4" Blue;

HK usp .45acp
Needed some moola several years back. Now that I look back I realize that it wasnt just a good pistol, it was one of the best I have ever fired.

2 Colts here. A Police Positive .38 Special used on a trade (with cash) for a .22 rifle and an Anaconda (magna ported and custom trigger job) sold cheap 'cause I read they were weak and shouldn't be used with hot reloads. That was 15 - 20 years ago but I still kick myself every time I think of those two.

I've regretted selling some guns- it was a necessity to be able to make the move to attend college and start my career. They're replaceable, but of course at a slightly higher price.
I don't regret selling them anywhere near selling the 3 GTO Judges I've owned when I was younger. Those are not quite so easily replaceable.
If I only knew then what I know now........:(

Regret selling a gun?

For sure, I sold one of my Wilson Combat .45 autos and later I really got mad at myself for letting my friend talk me into the "trade" deal. I really miss it (very very accurate one). Later on, I tried to get it back and he won't sell it or trade it back to me. Learned a good lesson on that one.

Yep, twice. I sold a Winchester 94 30-30 made in 1950 , the sweetest shooting rifle I ever owned. I also sold a Para .38 super I wish I still had.

I did it when I traded my old style ruger single six for a Marlin 336 .35 cal. It was a good deal and I love the Marlin but I mised that old six shooter....so I went and bought another one.:)

My wife and I inherited her late-father's rifle and shotgun collection. Since I had rotator cuff surgery, we decided to sell the larger gauge rifles and shotguns. While most were "average" guns, there was one very valuable rifle that was just collecting dust - a 1929 Savage 99K 30-30. The good news, it sold for $2300.00. The bad news, I will never be able to shoot it again.

Astra .41 mag snubby. Beautiful gun. Sold it for party money while on leave. Beer and girls mattered a lot more to me then.

Lew Horton 29-2 snubby, Lew Horton S&W .41mag stainless snub, S&W 696, 2 S&W 28-2, a LNIB S&W 27-2....

JEEZ NOW I AM ANGRY ALL OVER AGAIN!

Could kick myself for each and every one of them that I let go! I have never regretted selling a current manufacture gun though. Only the ones that don't make anymore.

I traded my Colt 3rd generation SAA, .45 Colt, 4 3/4" barrel that I had about $300 in to a Bushmaster Patrolman. I guess I came out to the good as far as the price I had in the Colt, but I'll never be able to replace it.

Sold two lnib Remmy 870 Special Fields to a friend...one 12, the other 20. Just something "wrong" about selling nice firearms.
