Self Defense article

Not just a couple of days with one instructor and a dozen giggling girls? Do tell.
Maybe we've had different experiences. I certainly don't remember the girls in my former MA classes giggling. Nowadays on the job, we need to go to periodic refresher/ new tactics courses in crisis management and restraint. Lots of teachers, young and old, school secretary, nurse, and teacher aids. No, it's not defense against a gun, it's defense against catching a roundhouse to the cheek or whatever, but still, I don't recall any giggling. Don't go after the teacher in room 4, she'll tie you up like a pretzel, and she's anti everything -anti gun, anti war, anti men, and the list goes on. Then again, she looks like Earnest Borgnine.:D

I did, but you weren't listening.

Yep, a single class is indeed enough for a woman to learn how to successfully take a gun away from a resisting male. However, it requires practice after the event or your money is wasted. And how much value you will get out of such a class depends upon your commitment to really understand what you are doing and why, and to practice afterward.

You have spent much of this thread arguing scornfully against a position nobody has actually taken. It's amusing, but not productive.
