Second hand ammo

Classic 12 - how has this Covid affected shooting in Switzerland and Europe in general? Are clubs still open? Are those shooting estates for boar, partridge and pheasant still booking clients?

Classic12, I'm drooling over all that beautiful .30 Luger.

Does that have a military designation (Like GP-11, GP-90, etc)? From the package it looks like it might be PP-03. (GP is Rifle Cartridge, so PP is Pistol Cartridge?)

To you happen to have the Model 06 to shoot it in?

Im still drooling. Im seeing ads from gun shops in my area looking to buy ammunition it’s gotten so bad. The only ammo on shelves around here are turkey and waterfowl loads. Its worse now than after sandy hook and the safe act went into effect.

Ranges are closed due to COVID at the moment

Not sure about estates, or that even exists here

It is the 03 cartridge (as in 1903)

The 9 mm is the 41 cartridge, it was introduced in 1941 for machine guns, and then used for the Sig P49 / P 210 and later for the P75 / P 220

They modified it in 2014

And here are the 1911 and 1990 rifle cartridges

^ Very nice Classic12! I am respectfully envious of your collection.

And thank you.

Is the 7.65 / 30 Luger a common cartridge in Switzerland due to it once being the primary military handgun round? (Like 45ACP is here in the US)

Yes it is still quite prevalent here and one of only two pistol cartridges allowed at military shoots and competitions with the 9mm obviously

It is also still distributed by the army to the shooting societies for the said shoots.

Was the Luger the only gun to shoot 7.65 in Switzerland or were there others?

The Luger was the only military gun. However Sig produced a certain number of P210 in .30 Luger for the civilian market, and did the same with the P220, although I believe the latter is rarer.

Here’s a 210-1 with fixed sights in 7.65 mm para

And a 210-6 with adjustable sights

Classic12, beautiful 210s! I bet those are really nice to shoot in 30 Luger.

Indeed, less recoil, very soft shooting with an amazing trigger

The lighter and faster bullet creates a very flat trajectory

Those were shot at 50 meters

^ Nice shooting!

30 Luger sounds kind of like a soft shooting 7.62x25.

Come to think of it 7.62x25 would be awesome in a really nice gun like the Sig 210. :)

Indeed. A friend brought his Tokarev at the range a few months ago, he could barely hit the target at 50 meters, 1 or 2 hits in 5.

Received some more stuff
