Seating inconsistent really p....ng me off

Getting everything within .002 oal gave me best groups I've had in a while. The .007 was causing my flyers if I'm not mistaken. Did find out that 243 likes about 1 to 1.5 grains of almost any powder under max.

The Ruger American is a very accurate rifle . I bought mine when they first came out . Mine in 308 shoots at times better then my $1k target 308 . I sanded out the barrel channel in the stock to give the barrel an extra 1/8" clearance on each side . I used to get fliers before that because the stock has to much flex and would touch the barrel .

I had a 308 predator in RAR and when we took it apart to lower the trigger pull we could never get the left side of forearm off the barrel. I traded it in but I bought this one because Boyd now makes a nice Laminate stock for it. Haven't ordered it yet because the barrel is floating fine so far in this one. $88.00 for the stock best I can remember from Stocky Stocks. As you can see from pictures I've got around $500.00 in the RAR and almost $1600.00 in the CTR scopes and mounts included. The RAR is holding its own all day long. That sanding looks good on your rig.
