Scope selections

Another vote for the Vortex Viper. I have one of the 6.5-20x44 and it is a great scope for the money. They are tough as nails. It is hard to beat for the money. You also get Vortex CS which is, in my opinion, second to none. I have my Viper mounted on a Remington 700 in .08. The Super Sniper is a very good scope for the money. It is tough as nails, very repeatable and pretty clear optically. I actually prefer the rear focus model, and I never really cared for changing power, so fixed power worked out okay for me. The turrets are a bit mushy, especially at first, but the scope does track very well. The SS is mounted on a Savage 10 LE in .223. My vote would be for the Vortex, which is around $400 at SWFA and Optics Planet. The rear focus Super Sniper from SWFA is around $300. Both of these are very good scopes, and well worth the money.

I own several of the scopes (vortex viper, weaver super slam and swfa ss) previously recommended. If I was buying today, I think I would take a long hard look at the vortex viper PST line of scopes. The combination of quality and reasonable pricing is tough to beat IMOO.
