Scope Rings for New Rifle

it worked better for me to get a better cheek weld with an adapter and low rings than cz high rings. Not trying to overcomplicate matters, but I wanted a lower scope mount, and I had a box of diffrent height weaver rings to try. Also I wanted a canted base.

But if a person could be happy with cz rings, it would be simpler for certain.

In my understanding, you have one choice in essence - CZ rings. Near as I can tell, the 557 maintains the proprietary quasi-weaverish CZ integral base setup from the 550 (railed front; railed with one left-side notch rear).

Of those, I like the Talley the best. But the CZ branded one, the Warne's and the Leupolds would all work fine too. Anything except Millett.

For BrownRemChesters, for hunters, I like either Talley one-piece, or double-dovetail style (Leupold, specifically).
