Scope Mounts for Savage 111?

So is there a considerable difference in performance between the (in)effectiveness of one or two piece scope mounts? Also what scope mounts/rings would you recommend for a Savage 111 FCNS?? Does it rely upon what scope I purchase? or would Leopold scope mounts for example work on a Bushnell scope etc.?
