Scope help questions?

I hope it's just the Crossfire line,( I think their made in China) because I ordered a Diamondback today and I could use a good scope. :o

I watched a video today on youtube where a fella from St. Croix Wisconsin,(looks misspelled):o. He did what they call "Todds Tundra Test" on a Vortex Diamonback.

1. He put they scope underwater for 24 hours, then he looked through them to find any sign of water damage,, they found none. Scope stayed clear.

2. He then put the scope in a freezer for 24 hours, and when he retrieved the scope he then mounted it on a .300 win mag and fast fired 4 rnds through it to see if the zero moved,,It did not..;)

3. He then ran the elevation and windage turrets all the way in both directions and the scope tracked very well.
Now I hope that the one I get this wednsday is as good, although I don't plan on swimming with it, it definetley will get the freeze test every deer season!!:D

I don't understand why a company that would want to be known for quality scopes would ever let there bottom of the line scope be made in china and of poor quality. At least Nikon's bottom of the line Prostaff is made in the Philippines and is of pretty good quality.
