Scope for .223 Rifle

I ordered one for my son's Savage .17 HMR and was pleasantly surprised with the clarity and brightness. Don't think it can be beat for an inexpensive scope. I believe it would hold up fine to the recoil of a .223. Would also be nice and light for packing around.
 
As well as Blinddogjake, I'd definetly purchas the Vortex Diamondback, 4x12x40, and if you can muster more change pick up the Adjustable Objective model with the "Deadhold" BDC reticle. I have one without the adjustable objectice, it's crystal clear and magnifies better than anything close to it.;)
