Scope and rings/mount for a savage .270

I just got a Nightforce scope for the target 308 (love it, 2DD reticle)

I went to Warne's sight, checked out what was needed via their ring fit for a specific rifle calculator for the Objective size, ordered those with the scope.

Came in, cleared just fine.

something to be said about not having to go to a gunsmith.

You got that right. All the gunsmiths I meet (save one guy I really like but he's a beginner) are grumpy and in a hurry and their answer to most questions is "it'll be about $100" (or a multiplie of that amount).
