Scimatar Oryx caliber selection?

I'd have no qualms about using the .270, but if you are looking looking for the flat shooting capabilities, with the whack of a 30-06, and have an affinity for a 7mm bore, why not the 7mm Rem Mag?
 
I was looking at the hunt you booked at the OX ranch, and under their description it says that they have rifles that you can use. If you are still unsure about your rifle, it may be worth using theirs.
 
Those photos show me an animal that a .30/06 with a heavy bullet will drop, if you can shoot the range.

I'm a firm believer in the Ruark Prinicple, use enough gun, so the .270 would be out for my choice. If you have the money to upgun, nothing wrong with that, but doesn't appear to be necessary.
