Scary incident and a test of my reactions

I heard a woman screaming as if she were being assaulted. Stopped my vehicle in the left turn lane, turned on the flashers, ran across the street toward the sound of the screaming.

If all of us were willing to do this (especially while unarmed), this country would be a much safer place.
Everyone would have much more respect for CPL permit holders as well.

There was an incident reported in yesterday's (or Saturday's) paper. A policeman responded to an incident of a woman being assaulted, which was factual. When the policeman arrived on the scene, the woman attacked the policeman. The result was that two people, a man and a woman, were both charged with assault and with public drunkeness.
