I just got a 10 FCP in .308 a week ago. After getting the scope zeroed I printed one .478 group and one .425 group with my version of Fed GMM (168 gn SMK over 41.1 of 4064).
Went to the rage today, it was beautiful but but very windy. I fired five, five rounds groups between .656 and .910. Then I hit a suspended O2 tank about 8-inch diameter 10 shots in a row at 500 yards. Nice satisfying clang each time.
This is my first ever Savage. I'd always heard they were "economy" rifles - good but not great. Frankly, I hope I can work up to the capabilities of this rifle. It wasn't inexpensive by any stretch, but a chunk of the price was for the McM stock.
I'm looking at a Mark II BTVS in .22 rimfire now.
