Savage Stevens

I've got rifles that shot better after torquing the stock screw and others that don't seem to change at all.

I have a .223 bolt action Remington that shot better after I torqued it to spec and then backed it out 1/2 turn at the range. I just remember to set it the same each time I take it down.

I think it just depends on the rifle.

Nothing wrong with Savage products for the money.

The Stevens 200 is a great (but kind of ugly) rifle with one exception. The genius that decided to use a 1 in 11.5" twist in 7mm/08 should be hung by his 'nads.

Was he talking about the new Accustocks? Those apparently need to be bolted to the rifle in a certain order and with certain specs. It has to do with the way the accustock fits around the action. Stevens rifles do not have the Accustock to my knowledge.

Buy Elsewhere !!!

:D If you decide to but a Stevens 200 , I'd buy it somewhere else ! If the propritor of that store doesn't think enough of his customers , to not put a moron behind the counter , they don't deserve your business ! I'd just tell him he's full of male bovine waste and hit the road for greener pastures . But that's just me , some people suffer fools much better that I .
