Savage guys short question.

i have a 300 savage model 99 lever action and the rotory magazine is not working corectly it loads right but it does not retract right you have to move it by hand it started doing this after i took the bolt out to clean it and i dont know whats wrong or any ideas to fix it any ideas please let me know thank you
