Savage Chassis Question

Anybody have a Savage SA on a chassis? Which one? Do you like it? Why did you choose that over the others?

I have a 12 BVSS in 300 WSM. Would like a chassis that has detachable mags for 300 WSM.

Last, am I better off with my current 12 BVSS stock or perhaps the bell & Carlson stock....I'm struggling some with the benefit of the chassis, except the mags.

I went with cadex defence field strike....i did lots of homework and figured thats the one i wanted..lots of good reviews and amazing customer service....the accuracy of my rifle went up exponentially to the point that i was kinda hard to pick best group because they were all so good....at 200 yds im getting ONE hole and 5 bullets

My best shooting buddy has a model 12, in .223. It wears a custom 28" barrel and aftermarket trigger, as well as a long range target scope. He is using the standard laminated (thumbhole) stock that came with the rifle. With his handloads, he can produce groups of just under an inch at 200 yards. I've seen him consistently shoot into a 5" circle at 550 yards.

My impression, based on his results....and having shot the rifle myself (though I am by no means as good as he is)....that the standard stock is just fine. It certainly works for him.

I have one (a .260) in an Accuracy International chassis.

Selected it because, well...it's Accuracy International. I can't compare it to the XLR or others, but have no complaints.
