Savage 12 LRP

Wooo!! Finally, I got to the gun store and a Savage 12 LRP 6.5 Creedmoor followed me home. The problem is, it's naked. I already discussed on here what scope I'm going with, I just wanted to see if I could get some suggestions about what base/rings to go with. How does an EGW 20 moa base sound? And what kind of rings do you guys like? I've heard there can be some alignment issues, even with the higher-end rings. Has anyone run into problems like that? I don't have a lapping tool, so I'm looking for something that's gonna be g2g right out of the box. Probably best to go with a matched pair, marked front and rear, right? BTW, Thanks to Dan Newberry for suggesting that particular model rifle.

I like Ken Farrell bases, but also have several Weaver, and EGW. I have zero issue's with any of them.

The only rings that I will buy anymore are Burris Signature Zee rings. I've got 8-10 sets of these rings with $350-$2k+ scopes in all of them,on 22lr's to 300WM's.
These rings have inserts,No lapping required,No ring marks on any of your scopes,No scope movement from recoil. I absolutely Love, these rings!

I run mainly 50mm objective scopes on my rifle's,and with a 1pc rail,a Medium ring works perfect.

I reallly like my Murphy Precision base. They make them in Titanium if you are looking to go that route. Once I get a new scope I will probably purchase their rings as well.

If you want to get fancy, Spuhr ISMS Rings are probably some of the best. These rings are one piece and you would not have to worry about alignment problems. Midway has them on clearance (2 left as I type).
