Savage 111 Rail

If you are a more-or-less normal sized individual, you have everything you need right there, except for a regular set of Weaver style rings. For me, and for everybody I know who shoots, that scope is mounted about an inch too high and four inches too far back.

Ouch. I hope that rifle is not one that recoils much, as skimming through this post tonight has brought me no indication of a chambering. That looks like the worst case of scope bite one might ever encounter. I'd worry about lens glass in my retina.

Yeah im going to switch the rings today to the low profile ones i had before and see, if not mistaken i looked through while having those rings and still didnt have a clear picture! Once i change the rings and move the scope i'll post back with an update on how things are

There's something going on there that I'm not sure about. Here's a picture of my Savage 111, with the exact same scope. My LOP is set at 13.25 inches and I have no problems with that scope. I can see perfectly fine through it at the highest magnification, although I normally just set it on 4X or 6X and use it at those settings.

If we were closer, I'd love to sit down with you and analyze your cheek weld. That's very important for best accuracy.

Question: Do you have an experienced shooter nearby who can help you?

WoW!!! If i put it where yours is i would see a curcle the size of a quarter lol. I definitely think its me, perhaps the form i am using, cheek weld ir whatnot. I dont know anyone but i'll post on ar15 where im a member in the hometown area and see if there is anyone who is knowledgeable and wants to take the time to show me!!! Is there a good read somewhere on correct form when using a rifle and stuff?

Here are some photos i took last night of what i think is comfortable position while holding the rifle, scope is temp mounted at that position but it is at 3x and thats where i can see clear picture, if i magnify the pictures becomes small and fuzzy
