I have one and it shoots great. I got rid of the accutrigger and replaced it with a Timney, ditched the junk factory stock and replaced it with a B&C Medalist 1012 and topped it with a Trijicon 5-20X50 Amber BAC. I shoot 165grn NBT’s over 46grn of Varget and it’s almost boring shooting to 500yds which is my ranges limit. Every deer I’ve shot at with it won a trip in my Gator and truck.

I just hate Savage’s sloppy, ugly actions.

Got to the range today, bore sighted my new Nikon scope and proceeded to put about 50 rounds down range. This is the best 223 I’ve ever had the pleasure of shooting. 3 shots to bring into the 1 inch bullseye. Proceeded to go around the ring target and hit the spots around the clock... pretty happy.

I have that gun and it shoots great with bullet weights from 125 to 180 grains. Go for it.
