Sako or Kimber

I mean honestly if the kimber was a horrid shooter, you could simply re-barrel. I mean sure thats going to cost you more money but by the time your done with it, it would be around the same as a sako 85.

Thanks for all the advice guys. Some really helpful comments. From what i have read most prefer the Sako and some of the ones that dont, its because of the 20" barrel on the Finnlight. So that has really got me to looking at a Sako 85 Synthetic Stainless. Not alot heavier but can get one with a 22 7/16 barrel. I have a cousin that has a Kimber Longmaster and has accuracy issues with it. Sent it back and they said they did find some burs on the crown and corrected it, but when he got it back it wasnt alot better. He as tried every load under the sun with a wide range of bullets and 2.5 inch 3 shot group at 100 yards is best it has done. And I have read several forums with same complaint. I wish I didnt have doubt in the Kimber because it is somewhat cheaper than the sako. Thanks for everyones help.

The Sako is cheaper than some other rifles. Money is much better if rolled over into a good rifle.

magicroy,

I favor the Kimber 84M Montana. I have five Kimbers along with many other rifles. The Kimbers shoot fine for me.

I prefer their control round feed and best of all their three position M70 type safeties. With a youngster that safety is best as it controls the firing pin.

I have a Sako also along with many Winchesters etc.

Get the Kimber. Its made in the USA! :)
