Safety "Is it a revolver thing"

Yeah, but there's also that whole "pull the trigger to disassemble it" thing. And how deeply recessed the 9mm chamber is, somewhat easy to miss a round in there. A lot of the accidents with Glocks involve cleaning/takedown, NYPD or otherwise.
 
I think I agree with Crazyhorse...unsafe handling is bad even if its a bb gun...I can see the ops point, but if you think about it, you cant see whats in the chamber behind the barrel on a revolver from a glance. It can often be scary going into a gunshop, unfortunately.
 
I have watched very well trained people, local SWAT LEOs, discharge a 2nd round into the dirt at the local club three gun matches. They then needed to reload to complete the scenario, so I figured it was not an intentional discharge. I am concerned with newcomers to shooting holding semiautos more than I am with revolvers ... not that a revolver cannot yield a ND.
