Pretty sure it's a Nagant in 7.62 Nagant.

What's with the copper cylinder color?

The earlier production Nagants had some kind of heat treatment which caused the cylinders to patina over time to the copper color you see on it now. It's the same color inside and out so it's just an interesting little quirk I've come to accept and appreciate.

Here is the Queen Mother of my safe, apx. 1850-1855 Henry Deringer.
She's never been fired since given to me. About .44 cal. would be my guess.
