S&W vs. Taurus, Ruger, etc.

S&W or Ruger. S&W usually has the best trigger but with a trigger job the Ruger is also nice. Colt's are great too but overpriced due to collector value.
 
Try a Colt trooper MKIII they can be found shooter grade for $500-700 and are just as stout as a S&W 686, or Ruger. the ONLY weakness is do not dry fire it.

I was a Cop for 35 years. Not many Cops, who bought their own, carried a Ruger. An old S&W will generally have an excellent trigger, if not it's very easily smoothed out. As I sit here I have a S&W M65 stuck inside my shirt under my belt. I'm well armed.

Did they not bring them because of the trigger or was there other reasons
