S&W model 28 worth the price?

Actually called the Highway Patrolman, and you are correct that it was available in both 4" and 6". Allegedly, a small number were made in 8 3/8" as well.

Look on the bright side, there are many HERE willing to pay more than $350.00 for a 95% 3 1/2 p&r 27. I guess that makes it a decent deal. Have fun with it. I picked up a like new 28 last March for $250.00. I didn't consider it much of a deal.
