I own a 4" stainless GP100 and it is probably my faviorite handgun. That being said, I also own two Model 19s and a model 66 (4", 6", 4"). As has been noted, this guys was talking out the wrong end. The Model 19 is a real sweet revolver. If the gun is in good condition, you won't regret it and it will last you a lifetime. I don't remember exactly what I paid for mine. I bought both 19s at the same time from a gun here on TFL. I remember that out the door it was over $700. I don't even remember what was included in that price; shipping, sales tax, transfer fee ???
So I don't think that gun is out of the ball park on price. I looked around a little, mostly on aution websites and the Gunlist and my deal was right there with those sources. That of course is not to say you couldn't do better.
