S&W makes good!!!

i gglass, That Apex sear looks very interesting. I think I might try one out. Was it difficult to install?

It could not be easier. There is a video tutorial on the Apex Tactical web site.

Here is the bullet point list for a 5 minute trigger job:
  • Field strip the M&P
  • Push out the rearmost push pin (Holds in the sear housing block)
  • Slowly lever up the sear housing block until it is free from the frame
  • Lay the sear housing block upright on the table and push the sear pin out from the side (it is loose)
  • take out the old sear and put in the new sear
  • replace the sear pin
  • Reinstall the sear housing block into the frame (Be sure that the trigger bar engages the underside of the sear)
  • The sear should rock as the trigger is pulled
  • Reinstall the rearmost roll pin
  • Reassemble the M&P (Slide onto frame)
  • Done

This thread really makes a decision I am trying to make even harder. I recently went and shot a Taurus 85 and was impressed. I would have bought that gun before I even left the range. Its trigger was smoother than the K frame I was shooting that day. My problem is I have shot S&W all of my life. I have only had to use customer service twice and they were all "operator error" each time I offered to pay and was told no way. They sent me what I needed to get me back shooting. I know they will do the same in the future. I have called Taurus about a Rossi we have and they told be in a less than friendly voice all I could do was to send it in on my dime. I wanted a spring. Smith sent me a complete slide for my 22A. I have a hard time other than Glock buying anything but a Smith. Customer service counts.
