S&W 8-shot .357 looks interesting....

My first handgun

My first handgun was the S&W 327 TRR8. It is an awesome machine! The favorite for myself and my wife. I have been thinking about getting another or a similar model.

S&W 327 Question (warning noobish)

So instead of starting a new threat I figured I would throw this in here.

I have purchased a S&W Performance mod 327.

So my question relates to the moonclips that came with it. Since the cylinder is recessed, I figure the moonclips are there for a speed load rather than a necessity. Is that the case? Or do I have to load moonclips in it regardless?

Thanks,

I have the TR8

If you got the money, DO IT.

Best revolver out there. However, I would trade and get the Nightguard, which is the snub version.

I have a 327PC that I use for steel shooting. The titanium cylinder and barrel shroud make it very fast out of the holster and transitioning between targets.

You can shoot it with or without moonclips.
