S&W 686+ Good 1st revolver?

My first revolver was a S&W 681 (fixed sight) which I still own and
love....I paid $250 for mine..It's any excellent alternative to a S&W 686..........Either way you won't regret it!;)

The M66 and 686 are similar, but the 686 has a larger diameter cylinder (allowing room for 7 chamber on the 686+) and beefy topstrap. Below the cylinder they are the same.

The two items that make the M66 more fun for right now are that it has a 4" barrel without underlug while the 686+ has a 6" barrel with underlug. The shorter, lighter barrel makes for quicker and easier manuvering.

The 686+ is the one in my nightstand when I am in bed.
