The trigger reach on a 6906 is the same as on a 5906. The difference between the two is the length of the slide/barrel and the grip length. If the 5906 doesn't fit your hand, then the 6906 isn't going to work either.
I currently have a 6906 and Super 9. I had a 5906, but, like a dummy, I sold it. I'm going to replace, someday.
