Yes some, but it didn’t seize the cylinder, just made it a bit harder to cock the hammer for the next shot. I didn’t clean and dry the chambers though, will have to do that.

Do keep the chamber oil-free, I recall seeing some inserts for firing .22 rimfire [LR or WMR] but can't recall if S&W made them or other supplier.

Well the full designation of the caliber is .22 Remington Jet Magnum, that would take a lot of space on the barrel.

Six such inserts came with the gun. They are the silver things in the OP's picture.

As I recall, all Jets came with the .22 LR inserts; the extra cylinder was an extra cost option.
