S+W 500 cooking-off?

In my case, it happened (the shuffle) once or twice every cylinderful, but only with one of the five revolvers. Extremely light loads, such as Ultramax factory loads or similar handloads, would work. Midrange and full loads would do the shuffle at least once or twice per cylinder, and occasionally even four or all five rounds. This particular revolver had a problem. Whatever it was, S&W replaced the gun rather than attempt to repair it.

Dunno about that one.

However, it's significant that you NEVER hear about this happening with an SA revolver even though the basics of cylinder lockup are virtually identical. The difference is that the trigger can't drop the bolt like it can in a DA gun.
