I bought this nickle 19-4 yesterday, about 96%, pinned and recessed for $340. Pic doesn't do it justice. Ser# 80K81XX. Anybody know Date of Birth? Thanks for any replies.

That configuration...

is one I'm looking for. Either blue or nickle.

Dang! Those were neat when they first came out, and they still do just fine.

You have good taste, old sailor.

Nice, that one's sibling is in my right front pocket as I type.

Sundance....19s are a proud bunch. When before the photographer, people puff up and smile......19s cock.

FPrice: Thanks for info.

Everyone else: Thanks for comments. There's someone with a blue one listed in "for sale" area in this forum.

I've got a blue 2 1/2" 19 also. When I bought this one there was a 4" nickel 19 sittin right next to it. Took me a hour to decide on which one. Couldn't afford both. I'm already fighting the dogs over the Alpo at dinner time from lack of funds due to gun purchases lately.

Except for the plating, it looks like the gun that is currently living in my parents house. Their house gun went down, so I left my 19 up there at Christmas.

I miss it so... :)

You know, I miss the 2.5" 19 so much that I think I'm going to take the 4" 19 up and leave that with them.

I only ever had 1 of those, and I could never develop any affection for it. Go figure. I have and love 4 of the 3" K-frame models, but just didn't like the 2.5. Mebbeso I'll try one again.

My dealer had a beautiful 2 1/2" M66 on his wall tonight. Only $275 and I could probably get it for 10% off that. I like SS better than blue steel.

Problem is, he also had a NICE Kahr Mk 9 with black-T coating, a second set of good-looking wooden grips, two mags, and it looks like the previous owner never fired it!

Wonder how long I can wait without it (the M66) disappearing?

"Thanks for info."

You are welcome. Thank you for posting the link for t-grips. I have been looking for a source for a while myself.

Hi! My name is Frosty...

and i am a S&W-holic.

My dealer offered me that S&W 2 1/2" M66 for a ridiculously low price.

What could I do? I absolutely HAVE to help that poor man put food on his table.

I pick it up this week.

I am so weak when it comes to nice, older S&Ws.

:D

Bless you for your humanitarian efforts in keeping the guy in vittles. Congrats on the new S&W. If I can find a 2 1/2" 66 I will buy it. I too prefer the older K & N frames. But I bought this little twerp a couple weeks ago. Not scratch on the gun just crappy picture setup, an too lazy to do it again.

I had a 2 1/2" 66 for awhile. In a moment of insanity I sold it:confused: . After looking at your pic, I wish I still had it. I even put a nice set of houge rosewood grips on it. God forgive me.:(
